    Ghana records no measles outbreak in 15 years - Minister

    Ghanaian Minister for Health, Dr. Kweku Agyeman Manu, has said that Ghana has not recorded any measles case for the past 15 years, applauding the commitment of the health personnel to the national measles immunization campaign.

    Speaking at the launch of the national measles rubella campaign in Accra on Thursday, Dr. Agyeman Manu said formerly measles was ranked second to malaria in terms of the number of reported cases at the health facilities.

    The immunization campaign, he said, would commence from 17th - 22 October across the country and that about 4.2 milion children between the ages of 9 months to five years would be immunized during the exercise across the country.
