Ex-Governor, Adam Nouky Charfadine, and the two commanders of the gendarmerie in the city were arrested in N'Djamena on Thursday, in connection with the attempted murder of lawyer Doumro Manasse and his clients on 22nd May in Doba, as they were leaving a court session.
The three men are believed to be kept at the National Section for Judicial Research (SNRJ) in the Chadian capital, N'Djamena.
After their hearing, they will appear before a judge.
The judicial community in Chad including lawyers, notaries, bailiffs and magistrates announced on Wednesday, that they were going on an indefinite strike to demand the arrest and prosecution of the trio.
The strikers have not yet reacted to their arrest and subsequent detention, which aims to put an end to the strike.
